Fegentri Final in Mauritius on the International Jockeys’ Day December 3rd The new Fegentri Championesse 2007 is Vanessa Rodenbusch from Germany, second is Sofie Langvad from Norway and third Ninni Westerlund from Sweden. It was exciting until the last day and due to her win on Saturday Sofie Langvad became second in the ranking. The final race on Sunday was won by the Dutch lady rider Jadey Pietrasiewicz. Congratulation to the riders and their countries. 26 Races took place in 15 different countries in four continents.
The Italian Club A.G.R.I. elected a new President We all want to congratulate Giuseppe Molteni and wish him all the best in his new role as cPresident of the Italian Gentlemen Riders Club (A.G.R.I.). Giuseppe Molteni or “Pinuccio” as he is known by his friends and other amateur-riders is succeeding Comtessa Ludovica Albertoni. Shewho has been President of the Club since 1996 and has contributed to the development of amateur races in Italy. Thank you to Ludovica for her great job and dedication. Ludovica has been appointed Honorary Chairman and will keep working alongside Pinuccio. Pinuccio was one of the most successful and accomplished amateur riders on the flat in Italy. He won 1,012 races in his career which started in 1946 when he rode his first race. He won his first race in 1947 and then kept on winning to achieve the impressive number of 1.012 winners. Pinuccio won the Italian championship on the flat in 1961 (37 winners), 1982 (33 winners), 1983 (42 winners)and 1990 (39 winners). Amongst Pinuccio’s goals as the new appointed President is his intention to increase the importance of amateur riders as a recognised and respected category within the racing industry. Further he wants to develop the strengths and values to all amateur riders. Pinuccio has also committed to the international side of amateur racing and he is a believer of Fegentri’s role. Pinuccio is now an owner and in addition to his new important role as President of A.G.R.I. he is involved in the Italian racing life through other racing authorities.
